Powerpoint – “Forward compatible”?
Okay, I’m working on a project for school using powerpoint on my laptop. It’s a Vista, so it’s the 2007 version. But we’re presenting it in class on a computer that has an earlier version.
I was just going to make it at home this weekend and then email it to my school account, then open it on the computer and play it for the class. Will I have any problems since it’s a different version?
This is really important that I find this out before I get too far into my project xD;
Oh, and I ran into a problem with movie maker on seperate computers, since the clips weren’t downloaded on the second computer. And I have a short movie in the powerpoint. That won’t be a problem, will it? D:
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
Use File > Save As and change the format to ppt so that earlier versions will be able to play your presentation.
Concerning the movie file, this information applies to you:
Sounds/Movies don’t play, images disappear or links break when I move or email a presentation
